We are so excited to welcome Chef Vivian Saade of Vivian’s Cocina into our space!
Using fresh ingredients we will make authentic delicious Mexican dishes! Vivian loves to cook everything from scratch, and this class will be no exception. Get ready to learn and enjoy a meal that you can make easily at home for your family or guests.
Menu:
Baked Fish in Banana Leaves: We will marinate our fish in a citrus jalapeño sauce and bake it wrapped in banana leaves. The leaves not only impart an earthy flavor to the dish but also keep the fish incredibly moist. It’s a delicious yet easy dish to make for any occasion.
Fideo Seco: It’s the Mexican version of angel hair pasta, but it is cooked in a tomato chipotle sauce, and drizzled with Mexican crema and Oaxaca cheese.
Red Cabbage Slaw: With fresh oregano, delicious over tacos or any other Mexican appetizer
Homemade Corn Tortillas: We will be making tortillas from scratch! Nothing better than homemade tortillas, how psyched are you to learn how to make them?
Orejas: A typical pan dulce (sweet bread) found in the Mexican panaderias; we will be making this pastry called in the shape of ears (that’s orejas in Spanish).
