These are not your ordinary cookies!  A basic chocolate chip cookie recipe is transformed into much more with the addition of M&M’s and a cup of oatmeal to create a dense yet chewy treat.  This recipe makes at least 2 1/2 dozen large cookies or 5 dozen standard cookies.   They also freeze well either before or after baking so if you aren’t ready to serve up such a large quantity you can always save some for another time.
