Chopped – morning session

Competitive cooks will break into groups to cook themed menus each day.   Groups will follow recipes and also create recipes using mystery ingredients.  Groups will be judged on how they work together to make the best results.  Each day will focus on a different theme:

Day 1 Mexican:
Homemade Chips and Guacamole
Mexican Rice
Tiny Taco Salad Bowls with Pico de Gallo
Hot Chocolate Sugar Cookies
Cinnamon Mexican Wedding Cakes
Chopped Challenge: create a quesadilla based on given ingredients

Day 2 Asian:
Crispy Wontons
Asian Green Salad with Ginger Dressing
Fried Rice
Chinese New Year Cake
Chopped Challenge: create a main dish stir fry based on given ingredients

Day 3 Italian:
Penne with Vodka Sauce
Spaghetti Carbonara
Classic Caesar Salad
Cheesy Garlic Toast
Cannoli Cupcakes
Chopped Challenge: create a from-scratch pasta sauce based on given ingredients
